Welcome!

Enjoy a wonderful creative day filled with the things you long for but rarely have the opportunity, the time, the place to practice: Yoga, Art and great food with new and familiar friends all in one lovely afternoon!

Ahhh!

(Don’t you feel relaxed already?)

Samantha Dasilva and Amy Conn invite you to a day where your brain is allowed to ease its busy-ness of the day enough so that creative juices can flow from your heart to your hand onto a canvas.

Guided by a nationally acclaimed local artist, Samantha will expertly teach you a combination of technique and inspiration to allow your natural skills (perhaps some you were not aware of) to flow onto a canvas that you can call all your own.

Amy will set the mood through a grounding pranayama practice, vinyasa flow and closing with a guided meditation. Oftentimes the ‘Monkey Brain’ within our mind extends throughout our body, when suddenly we find ourselves accustomed to agitation on a regular basis; allow Amy to introduce stillness, calm and creative flow to your body, mind and spirit.

Just when you think the day couldn’t get any more magical, we will feed you a catered organic vegetarian meal to fill up your body while you’re filling up your soul.

Indulge in a day dedicated to yoga and art.

You’ll receive:

  1. Two hours of guided art instruction with a nationally acclaimed local artist, Samantha Dasilva

  2. 90 minutes of vinyasa flow yoga closing with a guided meditation.

  3. Catered vegetarian lunch

Come with comfortable clothing and a water bottle and prepare to be completely relaxed!

Please bring your own yoga mat, we’ll provide the rest, including art supplies!

Samantha Dasilva

Artist

Having traveled extensively and acquired (nearly) three citizenships, daSilva's paintings are a visual narrative of unrelenting feminine power and the exploration of the universal experiences of abandonment, heritage and the eternal sense of home. Against the remarkable backdrop of the American West - a place as fierce as it is exquisite - daSilva navigates her paintings with ritual, grace and quiet force.

daSilva infuses her environment into her work using: iron-rich Utah dirt, salt from the Great Salt Lake, plaster, repurposed paint, metallic pigments and local newspaper to create ethereal, textured abstracts.

ARTIST BIOGRAPHY

Beneath her amiable personality burns a fire to express life through art and dialog. Samantha daSilva (born 1978 Santos, São Paulo, Brazil) is a professional artist and educator living and working in Salt Lake City, Utah, United States.

As a third generation artist, daSilva was inspired at an early age by her copiously artistic family namely; her grandmother, a portrait artist, her aunt, an accomplished jewelry designer, and her mother, a watercolorist, who influenced da Silva to experiment with a variety of mediums.

Upon graduating high school, daSilva opted out of attending art school for a career path that was ‘safer’ and ‘more secure’. But life has a magnetic force that pulls you back to where you need to be. Ten years and an array of tumultuously revelatory experiences led her back to her initial love: art. Intent on making up for lost time, daSilva dedicated herself full-time to creating and teaching art including: television appearances on HGTV's "Love It Or List It", a collaboration with Schoolhouse Electric and a cover feature on DOTE Magazine.

As an educator, daSilva has partnered with progressive institutions including: The Imiloa Institute, Costa Rica, Donkey Mill Art Center, Hawai'i, Metchosin International Summer School of the Arts, Canada and Atelier Saint-Germain, France.
