A little about Amy…

In April 2005, The Salt Lake Tribune featured Amy Conn on the front page of the Sport’s section, Running through Adversity: "Amy Conn will run the Salt Lake City Marathon four days before undergoing chemotherapy and one month following a lumpectomy."

In 2006, after a year of completing her own regiment of chemotherapy and radiation treatments, Amy began the program A Quality Life Community (QLC): Yoga for Survivors, Caregivers, Loved Ones; a free class for people who desired a healing program that would extend beyond the doctor’s appointments.

Revealing Grace Book

In the Fall of 2008, The Catalyst Magazine featured the A Quality  Life Community yoga program describing the benefits of yoga. “Fear can be a chronic emotion for those dealing with cancer: fear of the treatment process, the outcome, and even recurrence,” Conn states. “Practicing yoga in a setting like Quality of Life brings a student face to face with that fear and gives them tools to move past it.”

A Quality Life Community (QLC)

Yoga for Cancer Survivors is currently taught on Zoom and in-person by QLC teachers on Wed at 6:30 pm (Utah Cancer Specialists),  Mondays at 6:30 (South Jordan Valley Hospital) and Friday at 10:00 am (Infusion Yoga and Pilates in Bountiful).

How Can We Assist YOU?

Yoga for Wellness is a practice intended to assist the student practitioner to DISCOVER their practice regardless of the “level” the student perceives themselves to be at that moment.

As our bodies change through various mobility stages, Yoga for Wellness will meet you at your beginning and progress through your practice with you. Yoga for Wellness is also about self discovery, self awareness and Fun! We like to integrate the “JOMO” in life. (Joy of Missing Out - in other words, removing Fear and replacing it with Joy. Taking a “time out” from things that can create stress; feeling the moment joyfully)

COVID cancelled everything so we cancelled COVID. Personal marathon at 60.
