Passage Of Time Can Be Fleeting!
Passage of Time can be fleeting
A year ago I was celebrating my retirement at a really fun party at Cucina’s (a restaurant behind my house) But to say it was a retirement PARTY is misleading. It was a retirement 5-day Fun Fest! It was the perfect way to say goodbye to a teaching career I loved and to begin designing, what I fondly call, My Final Third
“Age is an issue of mind over matter.
If you don’t mind, it doesn’t matter.”
In this past year, I started a Reiki business, completed the 2nd edition of Revealing Grace (about my cancer adventure), I wrote a sweet endearing children’s book called The Blue Swing (a Social Emotional Learning -SEL- book about processing anxiety when you’re 5 years old) and, Oh yea, Michael and I climbed up and down the French, Swiss and Italian alps for 107 miles touring the Tour du Mont Blanc.
Revealing Grace will launch October, 2025 at
Survivor Wellness House
All of this feels amazing and, well, fleeting.
Michael hasn’t quite retired yet. Perhaps in two years. We’ll see. Of course I have his party planned in my head and three other trip adventures. (Most of them walking adventures)
You see, I’m a planner
It kinda comes with the territory.
“You don’t stop laughing when you grow old. You grow old when you stop laughing.”
As we enter into Summer Adventures, I want to remind you to care for yourself in ways that you may not have done for a while. Continue to laugh. Remember that age is just a state of mind. Life is fleeting - so enjoy the passage of time.
