Manifesting

In 2006, while visiting friends in Australia, my family and I saw a magnificent, most endearing movie:

MILLIONS

We were with friends for whom I met while living in San Francisco, California. We met at a camp in 1988 and instantly had a heart connection. The camp was an Intergenerational camp and I fell in love with this concept, so endearingly that I applied it to my program development work in San Francisco and later into my volunteer work in Southern California.

It was an obvious concept: place old souls with new souls and then watch what happens. Later I added animals to the concoction and this was a fabulous hit! To me, animals are both young and old souls. They are of the angelic realm and yearn nothing but to express love.

Anyway, I digress.

Australia, yes.

We stayed with our friends who had, by now, also had two children. Both sets of children were not quite teenagers and still lived in the magical world called Childhood.

We had all sat down on the floor, couch, chairs in the living room surrounded by the distant bustling sounds of Sydney. We had freshly popped popcorn and our desired refreshments. We turned on the tube and began to watch the movie: Millions

A smoking St. Clara Assisi

The boy asks Joseph, “I thought it was a miracle.” he continues, “Can I still do good with it?”

You see, the movie is set in the mind of a 7-year old’s perspective filled with ethics and being human. This fine young person suddenly finds himself reflecting with past saints with wobbly white chakra halos floating above their heads all the while residing in a self made hide-away cardboard house near the train tracks. He is presented with an ethical conundrum; a bag of pounds just days before the currency is switched to euros literally is thrown upon him. What do you do with a bag of money that comes from the sky?

It’s a magnificent movie, and you should see it!

As of late, well, no that’s not true. All the time, I find myself vacillating between these two chakras: Root and Crown. Ground - Ether. Ground - Ether. It’s so demanding and tiresome at times!

Root Chakra: Muladhara - RED

Located at the base of the spine - this red chakra promotes a feeling of heat and a connectedness to the earth. This color and chakra is very primal and holds vibrations of survival and basic drives like hunger and safety.

We want to experience feelings of love, manifestation, and expression but we have to start by taking care of our basic survival needs first! When looking at equity in our society, we can’t simply look at the results we want but rather what legs are those results standing on. A kid with basic needs met of shelter, food, and nurturing will have an easier time thriving than a kid who is missing one of these essential needs.

Crown Chakra: Sahasrara - VIOLET

Above or on top of the head - our spirituality and connection to that which is outside of self, which includes  universal consciousness, understanding, and a sense of connection to a higher guidance or other vibrations. This chakra is generally associated with the colors of white and violet. These light white and violet colors have a distance from the physical world and spend more time  in the air. Whereas the root chakra connects you to the earth,  the crown chakra connects you to the universe.

Two periods - Sped, Reading Specialist

One period - Community Service Outreach Teacher

The titles only describe 1% of my job. The reason why I’m able to exceed my 10,000 steps before I begin my own exercise routine resides in the remaining 99%.

But the truth is: I love my job.

Currently, I am manifesting the “Final Third” (preferred descriptive) of my life.

  • Increase yoga retreats and workshops

  • Integrate a weekly yoga class into my schedule at Mosaic Yoga

  • Volunteer or teach 2 days a week at the Christmas Box House

  • Sub teach at the local elementary school (Age groups I never got to teach)

  • Sub teach back in California at my mom’s local elementary school on the Central Coast (while staying with my mom, of course)

Manifesting can be exhausting!

And yet … not.

I think there are many aspects that influence how quickly a desire is manifested. Each person’s journey is unique, and each desire has its own unique vibration. Depending on the vibration of someone’s self image, they may have to change their vibration a lot or a little to get to the vibration that brings the manifestation.

So, I’m ending this blog here.

I'm still working on my “Final Third.”

I feel the vibrational change more now than before

but there are times I still seek that grounding third prong to my plug.
